Pakistani security forces attacked in Balochistan, conflicting reports of casualties

The Baloch freedom fighters have attacked a convoy of Pakistani security force in Shehend area of Mand, Balochistan on Friday killing two security forces personnel and injuring scores of others.

According media reports the convoy of Frontier Corps personnel were taking ration for an FC check post in Mand when it was attacked. Two FC officials named, sepoys Muhammad Zawar and Lance Naik Baharm died on the spot. The injured FC personnel were identified as Muhammad Irfan, Muhammad Aslam, Muhammad Ishaq, and Asar Khan.

Meanwhile a Baloch resistance organisation, fighting for the independence of Balochistan, has claimed responsibility for the attack on FC convoy. Mr Gwahram Baloch, a spokesperson of the Baloch Liberation Front (BLF) said fighters from his organisation have attacked the convoy of Pakistani forces in Shehend area of Mand.

Mr Baloch claimed that at least 32 soldiers of Pakistan FC have been killed and several others wounded in the ambush by Baloch freedom fighters.

Baloch freedom fighters have also reportedly attack Pakistani security forces check posts in Quetta and Rakhni whereas a spy of Pakistani force in Khuzdar has been killed. The BLA has reportedly claimed responsibility for killing the ‘state forces agent’ Sher Ahmad Khlaji at Chandi Chowk in Khuzdar.
